So at this very moment, Abby and I are sitting outside on the patio enjoying the calm summer afternoon weather. The two of us have some not-so-fun news to share with you, and I've procrastinated posting about it as I wanted to take some pictures to prove that she's still in one piece.
Last weekend, something happened to Miss Abby's tail, not sure what, but whatever it was it pulled her tail hard enough that part of her spinal cord got damaged. Thankfully, she can still walk and her tail wasn't broken, but it is paralyzed. It affected her bladder so we've gotta watch that and help her stay groomed.
We're taking this one step at a time, and we'll see how things turn out. She was very lethargic at first, but she's been to the vet, and now her regular personality is reappearing. She's always been wonderful at letting us know when she needs something, so that will come in handy.
We'll get through this together.
