Light Painting

I'm trying a new kind of photography called Light Painting. Light painting is drawing in front of a camera in the dark with a light. LED's work best, but you can just use a flashlight. It's pretty cool because it taught me more about how to capture light in the dark, not only that, but how to draw with it!
So I enlisted the help of my brother, who willingly volunteered his services. He should get most of the credit here, because he was the painter, and I was just providing the canvas.

The first attempt. He used a Blue LED and a small red light. Just scribbles, but it's a start.
The small red light, 3rd attempt. Just scribbles.

Scribbles with the LED.

He tried to paint the Eiffel tower with the LED, but it didn't really turn out that way. It looks more like a graffiti 'A' Nice try though!

This kind of work is hard on the painter, because he only has seconds to paint! In our case, Tom had 8 seconds to paint in the air. I think he did amazingly well, it was fun. It was more entertaining than going outside in this icky weather and taking pictures of dead trees.
